The first official trailer has for upcoming British drama The Falling is now available online.
The film centres on a prim and proper British Girls Boarding School in 1969. The school is the site of a strange phenomenon where the students are sporadically fainting. At the centre of this epidemic is 16-year-old Lydia (Game of Thrones’ Maisie Williams) and her best friend Abbie (newcomer Florence Pugh), whose friendship turns sour after Lydia has sex.
The Falling is the latest film from praised writer and filmmaker Carol Morley (Dreams of a Life, 2011). This compelling drama premiered last year at the 2014 London Film Festival to rave reviews.
The film also stars Greta Sacchi, Monica Dolan, Mathew Baynton and Maxine Peake.
The Falling is released in UK cinemas 24 April 2015
